James Maurice Thompson (September 9, 1844 – February 15, 1901) was a novelist famous for reviving the use of the bow and arrow as a tool for hunting in America. Raised on a plantation in Georgia, Thompson perused a career in law before becoming a successful writer. Other notable works by this author include: The Witchery of Archer(1878) and Alice of Vincennes (1900).
