To develop a comprehensive and workable solution to the area's growing transportation problem, the study subgroups covered political and governmental, economic, environmental, land use and urban development, sociological, and traffic engineering aspects. The recommendation is for a fixed-corridor type system as being most beneficial to land development, an effective method of controlling urban sprawl, revitalizing decaying areas of the city, designating greenbelt areas, and controlling the direction of growth of the city.Collection
