This is the final report on the Jacksonville Urban Area Mass Transportation Study prepared for the Jacksonville Area Planning Board. It began on August 1, 1972 and was published in November 1974. The study was to undertake an interdisiplinary team effort (Federal Department of Transportation, Urban Mass Transportation Administration, Consolidated City of Jacksonville, Florida Department of Transportation, and Jacksonville Area Planning Board) to develop mass transportation improvements to support Jacksonville's long-range transportation needs while considering environmental and urban design impacts and quantifying patronage.
