Scope and Content

Newspaper article about Bill Basford removing Don Gaffney, Denise Lee, and Jim Wells from the finance committee via memos when he was City Council President. The article talks of Basford's drinking problem, and the fact that their removal had to do with their opposition to Basford's bills. On the article, Ira M. Dushoff wrote, "Congratulations on keeping it clean; Keep up the good work; We're ready to support you for Mayor as the only worthy successor for Jake--Interested?" Attached to the envelope and memo it came with.
