Covering the year ending December 31, 1913. Selected contents: List of Trustees of the Board with date of election and length of service, streets paved during 1913, water department report, fire hydrants in service, plans for new pumping station, sewer department report, lines and grades for sewers,extension of sewer manholes, street lighting plan developed, electrical department report, bridge department report, a list of repairs to bridges and culverts, list of new street crossings, street cleaning department report, clerical department report, park department report, Springfield Park , Riverside Park, Dignan Park, Fairfield Park, La Villa Park, Hemming Park, and other parks, fire department report, horses, fires, fire department roster, police department report, list of police force, list of charges against prisoners, auditing reports for various departments, health department report, birth rates for white and black population, scarlet fever, typhoid fever, malaria, Isolation Hospital, infant mortality, Jax Infant Welfare Society, report of school nurses, report of milk and dairy inspector, garbage collection, marriage licenses issued, and causes of death table. Initial brick pavement was laid in 1889-1893; brick road. Many black and white photos are scattered through book including: paving Forsyth Street between Laura and Hogan, rock crushing plant at Highway Dept. Property Yard, outfall sewer at Forest St., fire station number 5,Riverside, lake in Riverside Park, Electric Light & Power Plant at Talleyrand, boiler room at city electric plant, greenhouses & roadways in Riverside Park, Springfield Park, Fire station number 2 in Springfield, Forsyth St., looking west from Ocean.
