Scope and Content

Collection for Maxine Henderson who began a civil service career in October 1956 as a GS-3 P&S clerk advancing to a GS-8 supervisory supply technician in March 1975. In the interim years she adjusted to many changes in the programs and techniques implemented in Supply, and consistently maintained a superior performance rating. Among her many achievements she was nominated in 1976 for Woman of the Year. she was a charter member of Sortes Toastmistress Club and held all offices at club level except secretary. She began a new career at the U.S. Naval Base, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba as a supervisory general supply specialist and retired in 1983
