Description

This is a French, ebonized and ormolu-mounted case from the second quarter to mid nineteenth century. It is mounted on four free-standing columnar supports with gilt capitals and bases, centering a circular dial with black Roman numerals, enclosed by a conforming shell-molded bezel on an ebonized base with button feet. The two-train movement is stamped 8-1, 571 & FC.
