This is a silver fork made in France. The front includes an engraved "RL." It includes the hallmark "MXI" and an eagle inscribed, "James Monroe, Prest. U.S.," on the reverse. The fork has had a hole bored into it (perhaps for displaying), which has damaged the Clan Munro eagle.
