These serving dishes are among the presidential china group, 2001.025.001-.017. The white porcelain serving dishes were used by the Monroes during the Monroe presidency. The dishes are trimmed with gold and include a cursive gold "M" in a shield at top. The center of the dishes is decorated with an eagle and shield surrounded by stars. The set was likely made in France around 1817.Collection
