1833 model officer's sword. Engraved in script "Presented by the City of Richmond, Va. to 1st Lieut. G. A. Porterfield of the 'Richmond Rangers' Jan. 1847". On opposite side "N. P. Ames Cutler Springfield". Engraved with floral designs, an eagle with "E Pluribus Unum" above it and a native American on both sides on 2/3 of the blade. Brass handguard.
