Description

Pine wood stand-up desk. Lid lifts to reveal cubby holes and storage space. Door at bottom opens with two shelves inside. Shelf on top of desk is supported by two turned posts. Desk was used in the Jefferson County jail while John Brown was a prisoner and was later owned by John Avis, jailer.
