Description

Brown leather-covered rectangular box. Perhaps intended to store jewelry or for use as a sewing box. Embossed on top are the letters "F. D. P." This is for Frances Davenport Packette. The box has a small lock and key. Inside is lined with green felt and has several straight pins stuck in the felt. Also inside is a square piece of cardboard printed with Justis & Armiger Baltimore, MD, and a crest with the word Jewelers. Handwritten on the back is James Gibson.
