Description

Blue felt banner with gold band (7/8 inch wide) around perimeter; rectangular shaped except bottom end is scalloped with gold fringe (2 3/4 inch long) attached. At the top in yellow felt letters (4 1/2 inches high) is "KIWANIS CLUB"; at the bottom in yellow felt letters is "CHARLES TOWN WEST VIRGINIA" (city name letters--4 inches high; state name letters--3 3/4 inches high). In the center is an oval (18 X 16 inches) Kiwanis International insignia: blue background with braid-like gold and blue border with gold felt letters spelling the words, "KIWANIS INTERNATIONAL", with a yellow capital letter "K" with gold border in the center. To the upper left side of the center insignia is sewn a rectangular (4 X 5 inches) reddish patch with cream-colored border with the Kiwanis International insignia and the words "LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR 1960" in cream-colored letters. To the lower left side of the center insignia is sewn a round (6-inch diameter) patch with blue background and both a solid-gold and braid-like blue and gold borders, gold letters spelling "KEY CLUB SPONSOR", blue capital "K" in center with gold border, gold key in center of "K". Banner is suspended from a wooden dowell 1 7/8 inches in diameter and 35 1/2 inches long.
