Sword buckle of Black Watch, belonging to General Foreman. On verso: "Sword buckle of General Forman of the "Black Watch", a famous Scottish regiment....General Forman married Ann, daughter of the then Duke of Hamilton; their daughter Ann married (about 1755) James Strode of Frederick (Berkeley) county, Va. This buckle was given to Miss Susan G. Gibson, of Charles Town, W. Va., by Mrs. Rebecca (Turner) Graef, deceased, daughter of Elihud and Priscilla (Strode) Turner, and granddaughter (?) of Jeremiah Strode, a brother of James Stroke. December 7, 1928- Robert S. Franklin."
