Description

Long dress-like garment, probably cotton with lace panels throughout. Large V-shaped embroidered panel on front goes from neckline to waist. Two rows of embroidered designs on the bottom of the garment. Many hook and eye closures on back from top to below waistline. Was probably white at one time but is now a beige or cream color due to age. Clothing belonged to Bessie Davis Baker Beltzhoover (married George M. Beltzhoover, Jr.) of Charles Town.
