Leather-bound pocket diary of Willie Rouse from Kabletown, Jefferson County, Virginia. Willie Rouse (also spelled Rouss), the son of a farmer in Kabletown, Jefferson County, Virginia, was 18 years old when he wrote this diary. He was educated in Cantonsville, Maryland, and was the younger brother of Charles Broadway Rouss. Handwritten transcription of a portion of the diary, Jan 16 to Aug 17, 1865, is in a folder with the diary.
