Two black, leather bound travel diaries, likely written by Sallie Travers Coe in early 20th century while traveling abroad.
One has lettered pages down the edge and gilt edged pages. Inside on first page in pencil "Trip to Italy". Diary is written entirely in pencil. The days are numbered starting with Feb. 19 but no indication of the year.
The second reads "My Trip Abroad" in gold on front. Binding is sewn on left edge of book so a pen or pencil can be stored. Pages are gilt edged. Diary is hand written in pencil. On first page is "Sat. Jan. 5th 1907". Book is completely full and additional pages with lettered pages are tucked inside back page. Includes other ephemera (notes, tickets, etc.) throughout.

Three calling cards and three miscellaneous souvenir paper items. All contained in a small envelope which has blue spread-winged eagle standing on a shield and the words "BOSTON HOTEL & SUD ROME". Collected by Sallie Travers Coe during her early 20th Century travels.Acquisition
