Small packet of collard seeds. Seeds are in a sealed brown paper envelope. Printed on one side of envelope "COLLARD. Georgia. Like a smooth kale or a very hardy cabbage. The tender central leaves are the part used and they are improved by moderate freezing. One of the best winter vegetables for the South. Culture.--Sow in drills one foot apart dropping 8 to 10 seeds to and inch and covering with one half inch of soil well pressed down. When plants have formed three to six leaves transplant into rows 18 to 36 inches apart and give frequent cultivation until they are well established.
