Two (2) deposit books for the Farmers and Merchants Deposit Company (located on the southeast corner of George and Washington Streets in Charles Town; site currently occupied by the City of Charles Town) for Hyman Viener. Viener operated a salvage yard just north of the Valley Line railroad tracks on North George Street (site of the Charlestown Steam Laundry; site currently occupied by the APUS Academic Center) beginning in 1907. Deposit book 117a shows money deposited daily from May 27, 1925 - August 16, 1926, and deposit book 117b shows money deposited daily from August 5, 1927 - October 23, 1928.
