Wooden pen or pencil box or case containing a wooden calligraphy pen and a small wedge of wood. Case lid has a checkered ornamentation around its edges and a carved pull notch on its slide lock mechanism. The case has two compartments: The top of the lid slides straight out to reveal three grooves for pen or pencil storage; and, the whole lid swivels out from side to side to reveal the main compartment. Initials "O.B." written on top and bottom edge of main compartment. "Ollie Blessing" written on the side of one groove.
The bottom of the case bears the signature of Ollie Blessing. The top of the case under the lid also bears the initials O.B. The end of the case also has the name Ollie scratched into it.
The case lid has three grooves under the slide mechanism. The signature, Ollie Blessing, is written in one of the grooves.
The pen has a metal nib with the number 442 and a brass ring that divides sections of the pen.
There is a separate wedge of wood inside the case that appears to hold the pen in place.
