Description

White summer U.S. Navy dress uniform. Includes a button-down coat (a), pants (b), hat (c), and white belt with gold clasp (d). Location: a and b hanging in closet (Storage Room 2); c and d in Box 2 in closet (Storage Room 2) Coat (a) is all white with five gold buttons down the center, two breast pockets, two shoulder boards with four stripes each, a cluster of ribbons, a cluster of medals, and a gold pin. See Notes section for explanation of ribbons, insignia, and medals. Pants (b) are all white. Hat (c) is white fabric or canvas, with a black leather and felt bill embroidered with gold leaves. above the bill is a gold belted band and a black elastic band with a gold and silver emblem depicting an eagle, double anchors, and shield at its center. Leather hat band. Manufactured by Bancroft. Belt (d) is all white with gold clasp.
