Description

Silk, desktop-sized American flag displayed at the meetings of the Bee Line Chapter, National Society for the Daughters of the American Revolution. Flag is displayed on a base created from a slice of a tree trunk; wood block base is triangular, with the tree's bark still intact on one side. There are two holes in the surface of the top of the wood block, for the American flag, and a second flag to be displayed. Metal plate on base reads: WOOD OF HISTORIC OLD BOXELDER TREE, GROUNDS OF N.S.D.A.R.. WASHINGTON. D.C., APPROXIMATELY 150 YEARS OLD. Wooden base - 2079a; Flag - 2079b
