Description

World War II "Eisenhower" dress jacket of H. Mitchell Burch of Summit Point, who served in the US 3rd Army, 84th Infantry. A private chevon patch on both jacket sleeves, a red and white 84th Infantry Rail Splitter patch and a three-stripe patch on left sleeve for length of service. A round collar pin of US on right collar and Crossed Rifles on left collar. A Combat Infantryman Badge and three bars pin --Purple Heart, Good Conduct and Service in Europe--above the left jacket pocket. A braid on the left shoulder from the French for Battle of Como. An Honorable Discharge Emblem over right pocket, known as "Ruptured Duck," is a yellow eagle in a circle. A shoulder sleeve insignia of the 3rd Infantry Division is a blue and white diagonal stripe on the right sleeve. Size tag in collar 36L.
