Description

U.S. Navy peaked cap in three parts: brim or base with three interchangeable tops, one blue and two white. Brim has black band around opening and U.S. Navy insignia incenter of front; interior lining is white with manufacturer's mark in gold in center: "KNOX NEW YORK DESIGN PAT. No. 135-437". Tag sewn inside of brim: "22". Brim is # 500A. [located in Exhibit Case 27] One white top is # 500 B. [located in Exhibit Case 27] One white top is # 500C. It has a metal band around inside. [located in Exhibit Case 26] Blue top is # 500D. # 500A and 500 B or 500C appear to be the hat being worn in IMG3283.
