Description

Navy blue wool cape with red wool lining. Two frog-style closures with brass buttons embossed with state seal of Virginia. "W.M.H." [for Winchester Memorial Hospital] on either side of mandarin-style collar. Rectangular black label with gold lions is sewn in center back of lining, just below collar: "QUALITY UNIFORM Tailored by STEIN UNIFORM CO. BALTIMORE"; silver chain (for hanging cape) attached in center of back, where lining is sewn to collar. Small pocket sewn in left side of facing and embroidered in gold: "L.K.R." (for Lucy Katherine Rosenberger).
