Baptist Church of Christ Zoar was formed at Zoar in 1792. Worship services were held in this stone building from 1807 until, according to the JCM historian, the congregation began worshipping in Charles Town in the early 1850s, perhaps meeting at other churches. Construction on a new building for the congregation, now known as the Charles Town Baptist Church, began in the late 1850s.Acquisition
