US one-cent coin, 1817. On the front of the coin is Lady Liberty facing leftwards. Inscribed on a band on her head is the word LIBERTY and the year 1817 is at the bottom of the coin. Around the outer edge are 13 stars. On the back of the coin is an inscription reading ONE CENT surrounded by an ornate wreath. Surrounding this are the words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.Acquisition
