Description

Replicas of gundalows (boats used to transport goods to Harpers Ferry from points along the Shenandoah River) at Harpers Ferry confluence of Shenandoah and Potomac Rivers circa late 1980s to early 1990s. Gundalows were used before 1830. The were obsolete with the arrival of the railroad and canal at Harpers Ferry.
