An album of materials collected by Evelina "Lena" Tucker Brooke Lucas (1838-1928) from the 1860s to the 1890s. She married Daniel Bedinger Lucas in 1869. Most of the collection relates to Daniel Bedinger Lucas and Virginia Lucas (1871-1929), daughter of Daniel B. Lucas and Evelina Tucker Brooke Lucas. Items relating to Lena Brooke consist of handwritten notes and letters from both relatives and friends expressing their regards to her. Items relating to Virginia Lucas include poems she wrote and watercolors she painted.

Especially Jefferson County natives Dr. Edward Tiffin, first governor of Ohio, and Thomas Worthington, Ohio's first US Senator and later a governor. Robert Lucas, also a governor of Ohio, descended from the Edward Lucas family of the Shepherdstown area.
