A 146-page typewritten manuscript of an essay, "The Sheep I Have Known," by Serena Katherine "Violet" Dandridge (1878-1956); 38 chapters, no date.
In the essay, among other topics, Dandridge describes many of her sheep (whom she named), notes the care they require, chronicles the weather, and explains the threat dogs pose to her sheep and her response to the threat. Throughout the often-humorous essay, the author refers to her education from professors--her sheep.
