Description

Graves of Charles and Mildred Washington looking northeast. This view shows the relation of the graveyard to Happy Retreat on the far hill. The stones are presumed to be grave markers. The course of Evitts Run, which crosses the entire flat beyond the grave sites, is marked by the first row of small trees. Photographed September 17th, 1977, for an article in the Jefferson County Historical Society Magazine, Volume XLIII, December 1977, pages 24 -35.
