Description

Frances Keightley Lee Timberlake Wilson (1873-1952) was the wife of E. Graham Wilson (1874-1941). In 1913 Graham Wilson was convicted of assaulting Kate M. Turner (1867-1938), his wife's friend, when she visited the Wilson farm in Kabletown in June 1913. Wilson was sentenced to serve 14 years in the state penitentiary. The trial became the basis of the novel "Act of Darkness " written by Charles Town native John Peale Bishop.
