In the foreground is the Shenandoah River Bridge built in 1882 and destroyed by the flood of 1936. The old B & O Railroad bridge crosses the Potomac River left to right in the picture. Just behind the old B & O bridge is the new railroad bridge built in 1896. The control tower for the B & O passenger station can be seen on the extreme left edge. Picture taken after 1931 and before 1936. Note: Harpers Ferry; Bridges across Potomac & Shen. Rivers; date unknown but prior to 1936.
