Scope and Content

Thirty page black photo album with diamond design on cover and tied with black string of local children's school pictures collected by Marianna Johnson Smallwood, a local school teacher. Entitled "Fairmount School 1926-, Mannings School 1924-25, 1925-26." Both schools were on the Blue Ridge mountain, east of the Shenandoah. In addition to the 48 photos listed below, there are (a) 16 photos taken in Indianapolis, Indiana, in 1926, (b) five photos of Marianna Johnson (see IMG3922), (c) a photo from Charles Town Graded and High School (see IMG3923), and (d) 64 photos of local school children (Kabletown area) on pages 10-17. These 64 individual photos are restricted and not available to the public for 30 years beginning October 18, 2021, to protect the privacy of the subjects. 1. Mountain view 2.
