Webb Blessing House, on south side of East North Street and the B&O railroad
The Webb-Blessing House is on land deeded to Patty Webb, a free African American woman, in 1830. The left portion of the house, built in 1829-1830, is one of the earliest stone structures built and owned by free African Americans in the antebellum period. John Frederick and Emily Blessing, who received the deed to the property after the Civil War, connected the two houses. ("The Webb-Blessing House." - Clio. N.p., 1 Dec. 2014.
