Shenandoah Street
Shenandoah Street, once lined by homes and shops, was the main street in Harpers Ferry during the 19th century. Most of the buildings in own were constructed with native Harpers Ferry shale quarried from the hillside. Today the existing historic structures are being restored to their mid-19th century appearance by the National Park Service.
