Small milk or cream pitcher with handle painted a dark pink with a painting of the Potomac River at Harpers Ferry and hills in background. Painting shows railroad bridge with train going across. At bottom of painting "The Gap, Harpers Ferry, W.V.". On bottom of pitcher "IMPORTED FOR MOLLIE MURPHY'S CONFECTIONERY (sic) HARPERS FERRY, W. VA.". Makers or painters mark is also on bottom but obscured by inscription. Words that can be seen are "PAINTED", "STUDIO" and "GERMANY".Acquisition
