Description

Double ribbon, red on front, black on back. At top is an enameled plate with fireman, crossed ladder and ax and crossed horns. Below that is a brown and white metal button with photo of a man. Around photo is "CHARLES BROADWAY ROUSS WE MOURN OUR LOSS". Below button in gold letters is "INDEPENDENT STEAM FIRE COMPANY NO. 1 CHARLES-TOWN, WEST VIRGINIA ORGANIZED JULY 14, 1884". Gold colored wire fringe on bottom. On back (black side) is same wording in silver with steam wagon above words.
