Description

Cast and wrought iron wafer iron with rare eagle design. Made in New England in 18th century. Hinged with long handle and fitted with a loop-form locking device. Inside the iron is U.S. eagle and shield. Eagle is clutching arrows in one claw and olive branches in other with beaded border. 16 stars are above eagle.
