Half-stock Sheetz hunting rifle made, likely in Staunton in 1840s. Has silver plate around pin for holding barrel on stock. Pin is missing. Brass butt-plate, decoration and patch box on stock. Possibly .50 or .54 caliber. On lockplate "D KETLAND & Co." On top of barrel "H.SHEETS" for Henry Sheets.Acquisition
