Hand carved linoleum block in reverse (or mirror image) is a rendition of the 3 cent George Washington postage stamp. There are four sets of three holly leaves around the stamp. Below that is "GREETINGS FROM THE POSTMASTER OF CHARLES TOWN, W.VA.". The linoleum is glued to a block of plywood. Accompanying the linoleum block is the printed version of the card and it was signed on the inside by "Thornton T. Jr." in 1952.
