Piece of a horse's bridle, pre-Civil War era; Bit boss (originally riveted to the side of a bridle bit) for Company K, Second U.S. Cavalry. Circular, flat piece of metal, with rounded protrusions at the top and the bottom, each with a small hole. Center of the piece reads: K 2C.
