Set of four spools for holding thread. Carved mother of pearl top and bone or ivory bottom. The top piece has a metal tube and the bottom piece has a metal pin which fits into the tube to hold the spool of thread in place. Mother of pearl is carved like a flower with tiny star shaped pieces cut out along the outer rim. Items 193a, 193b, 193c, and 193d
