This flag, a Second National Confederate flag, was presented along with other accolades to the men of Stuart Horse Artillery, Brave Defenders, by the Ladies of Charlottesville, Virginia, following the successful defense of Charlottesville at the Battle of Rio Hill on February 29, 1864.
