Frank Cuprien moved to Southern California in 1912, eventually settling in Laguna Beach. Cuprien is known for his paintings of the sea around his home, depicting its frothy waves lapping on the beach. His entire estate was left to the Laguna Art Association. A room in the association’s current building is named after him.
