This is a sample of items that are part of The Kaho'olawe Collection which was placed on deposit in 2000 with the Maui Historical Society, Bailey House Museum by Parsons-UXB Venture, a contractor which cleared part of Kaho'olawe of ordnance under the auspices of the U.S. Navy.

This collection consists of 8.5 linear feet of archival records in 21 boxes, photographs, and 39 boxes of artifacts. "Most of the documents and artifacts were collected or generated by the subcontractors engaged by the federal and/or state government and the U.S. Navy, and the activities and perspectives of these government agencies are those most clearly articulated in this collection, as is the archaeological and scientific evidence uncovered during surveys and studies. Some information on the viewpoints and activities of Native Hawaiian activists and other local individuals, may be found in the files documenting the work of the Protect Kaho'olawe 'Ohana, Office of Hawaiian Affairs, and in the clippings, testimony, and some of the scientific reports."
