Context

The cabin shown in a previously published book, was built in the winter of 1851-52 by William Stewart in West Kaysville and moved to its present site in downtown Kaysville in 1857. This cabin was behind the William Stewart home at 410 West Center Street. William Stewart was the father of Emily Stewart Barnes and father-in-law of John R. Barnes. This cabin was moved in the 1950s to the Pioneer State Park in Salt Lake City.
