Context

George Sutton started the Sutton Floral Gardens in 1923. He built two greenhouses at 336 East 200 South, and he specialized in bedding and potted plants as well as cut flowers. This business was taken over by the Rasmussen Brothers, Carval and Gerome, in the 1947 after Mr. Sutton passed away. The floral shop was purchased by Paul and Don Flint in 1953. The Flint Floral Company greatly expanded the number of greenhouses. When they could expand their business no further, they moved their operations to Layton.

I purchased from Geo. Sutton and his wife, who arranged created the Bouquet's [sic] and corsages. It was the first corsauge [sic] I gave to any girl. She was my sweetheart, Inez Foy. Six years later she became my wife. Thanks Suttons. The only other place I ever saw the name Sutton was a sign which read, 'Sutton Ranch' on a post near Birch Creek in So. west, Wyo. George Sutton was a Duck Hunter supreme. It was a corsage with Sweet Peas, his favorite flower.
