Context

Simon Bamberger, John R. Barnes and other local and Salt Lake City investors founded this company in 1906. The brickyard was north of Cemetery Road (today Crestwood Rd.) on Main Street. The company manufactured bricks for about fifteen years. The company's signature color brick was yellow. There are many homes in Kaysville that were made of this yellow brick. Most notable was the Kaysville LDS Tabernacle as well as the original Davis County High School. In 2023, the Ace Hardware store stands where the brickyard used to be located.
