In the spring of 1975, H. Russell Bracken, Kaysville's American Bicentennial Chairman, called for suggestions for a community project to honor the nation's bicentennial year. The main project undertaken was the publication of a Kaysville history with the Kaysville Historical Committee to be chaired by Carol Collett. Other members were: Roselyn Slade, Louise Hess, Bettie Hyer, Dr. E. Ute Knowlton, J. Forest Barker, Robert Anderson, and Wells Collette. Later, when the Colletts consented to undertake the research and compilation of a book, Roselyn Slade became chairman.Collection
